As someone who has been working in this industry for over 10 years, I feel obligated to make this PSA: wellness and self-care have become so overly monetized and it shouldn’t feel like another burdening task in your day. And maybe I’m guilty of it too, because it’s how I make a living. But my goal is always to help people find self-love, reconnect with themselves + the planet, and refill their cup. Sadly, we live in a financial world where I need to get paid to survive too. And that’s definitely a battle I face. I remember when I first started teaching yoga to my friends at the park. They’d tell me, “You should do this professionally!” And I’d say, “Naa, I don’t think yoga should be charged for.” That part still lives within me. But I digress. My point is that wellness and self-care can be so simple. It doesn’t have to be expensive, complicated, or feel like another task on your to-do list. It can be: 🌅 Taking a walk and watching the sunset. 🫂 Catching up with a friend. 🐶 Dancing with your dog. 💃 Moving your body just because it feels good. 🧘🏻‍♀️ Taking 5 minutes to meditate. 🌿 Sitting in nature and simply being. If you have the privilege and can invest in your wellness and self-care by attending retreats and events, eating healthier, or exploring different practices, then amazing! ✨ There is so much beauty in having access to those experiences. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of free versions of self-care, or that wellness can’t be a simple, joyful part of your day. Don’t let capitalism make you think taking care of yourself is another job. It’s meant to be easy, fun, and joyful. It’s meant to help you refill your cup, not leave you feeling like you have another thing to accomplish. You don’t need to constantly be working on yourself to be worthy of love, rest, or joy. Sometimes, you just need to dance, laugh, breathe, connect, and enjoy being alive. 🦋 And that’s wellness too. 🥹🫶🏽

A life continuously unfolding into more. That’s what I want these experiences to create space for. ✨ Space for your well-being to expand. Your relationship with yourself to deepen. Another yoga myth that needs to go… 🧘‍♀️✨ You don’t need an expensive mat, fancy props, or the “perfect” yoga outfit to practice yoga. You just need your body, your breath, your presence, and a little space to connect with yourself. 🩷 Yoga was never about what you wear or what you own. It’s about how you feel, how you move, and the relationship you create with yourself.
