If youβve done this hike, you already know... this thing is BRUTAL ππ₯΅
For about 6 hours youβre climbing from roughly 8,000 ft to over 12,000 ft, and as someone who lives at sea level, I was absolutely feeling every step. The incline just keeps going, the air gets thinner, and at multiple points I questioned my life choices π
BUT WOW.
Now I can officially say Iβve watched a volcano erupt ππ₯
Seeing Fuego erupt across from us from base camp was one of the coolest things Iβve ever experienced. Itβs hard to describe what itβs like to watch the Earth literally doing its thing right in front of your eyes.
What made the experience even better was the crew I got to share it with. We laughed, danced, encouraged each other, and somehow made our way up that mountain together π«Ά and ofcourse, the latinas brought the party ππ»
By the time we reached base camp, every step felt worth it. The views, the volcano, the conversations, the shared accomplishmentβit all made for an unforgettable experience.
And perhaps equally memorable as the volcano eruptions: somehow ending up in a Florida Highway Patrol sweater courtesy of @wichoandcharlies while smoking a doobie on the side of a Guatemalan volcano π As a Florida girl, that felt iconic asf. ππ»ββοΈ
Would I recommend it? Absolutely.
Would I tell you to prepare appropriately? Also absolutely π
Good hiking shoes, layers, snacks, hiking sticks, water, and a healthy respect for the mountain are non-negotiable. This hike is not for the faint of heart, but if youβre up for the challenge, itβs one heck of an adventure. πβ¨]()

Hands down one of my favorite places on Earth. If youβre ever in Guatemala and havenβt been, I highly recommend adding it to your list πβ¨
Itβs basically a real-life hobbit-inspired adventure park nestled in the mountains, and itβs just SO much fun. There are epic viewpoints, adorable hobbit homes, a hammock forest, awesome photo spots, a mini bungee swing, and little surprises around every corner πΏπ‘β¨
I seriously love this place.
When @mari.in.the.flow told us weβd be visiting Hobbitenango as part of the retreat, I was SO stoked. Iβve been twice now, and honestly, Iβd go a thousand more times πππ»
Thereβs something about the combination of mountain views, playful energy, and pure childlike wonder that makes this place feel magical every single time. Itβs one of those places that reminds you not to take life so seriously and to just have fun π₯Ήβ¨
We ended the day with Indian food for dinner which made for the best day ever ππ»

Forever a Hobbitenango fan girl πππ§πΌββοΈ]()

![Our last full day in @islaverdeatitlan was such a beautiful closing chapter to everything we had created together π
We started the morning with yoga, then we headed out to the lake for paddleboarding and I finally got to swim!! π¦π₯Ήπ§πΌββοΈ It felt so good to be fully in the water, present, and just enjoying the moment.

Later, we dropped into ecstatic dance ππ» so much movement, release, and joy in the body β¨
We came home to an epic wood-fired oven pizza celebration ππ₯ and closed the night with a beautiful closing circle, reflecting on everything we had experienced together.
It was the perfect ending to something truly special. Full hearts, full bodies, full gratitude π₯°]()

![Water Day π§β¨ | Part 2
Next up was what might have been one of my favorite adventures of the entire trip (which is saying a lot because every day was incredible so itβs hard to chooseπ
)
We visited @comunidad.quixaya, the βHeart of Water,β a Mayan permaculture community created by local families who reclaimed and transformed former plantation land into a thriving regenerative ecosystem. As an environmentalist, I was absolutely buzzing the entire time. π The story, the land, the people - it was all so inspiring.
The family we spent the day with produces medicinal honey and dreams of sharing their knowledge through volunteering opportunities and a school for future generations. Getting to learn directly from people living in such deep relationship with the land was one of those experiences that sticks with you.
Follow them and support their mission, they are currently dealing with a hass avocado plantation upriver that will intoxicate all the freshwater systems π
Afterward, we cooled off in the river and swam in pools fed entirely by spring water.
We finished with a delicious farm-to-table lunch and then one of the most wholesome watercolor classes led by my wifey, @mystic.healing.arts π¨β¨
An unforgettable experience filled with nature, learning, community, good food, clean water, and a whole lot of inspiration. This one will stay in my heart for a very long time. π

If youβve ever been to one of my yoga classes, you know theyβre all about water ππ
So when @mari.in.the.flow shared that one of the retreat themes would be the Water Element, I knew I wanted to bring my practice into that morning in a special way.
We began by draining our lymphatic system, inviting flow and movement through the body. We moved, we softened, we flowed, and opened our wings and flew π¦
There was something so beautiful about embodying the qualities of waterβfluidity, trust, surrender, and ease.
It was the perfect preparation before we were to head out to a permaculture aquaponics farm, the morning was magical.
So grateful to have shared this practice, grateful to @the.mystic.flow for the trust, and grateful to be surrounded by such incredible humans on this journey πβ¨
Water reminds us that we donβt have to force our way through life. We can flow, adapt, and trust the current. ππ

Then it was off to explore San Juan La Lagunaβa town that feels like an explosion of color, creativity, and culture π¨π Every gallery seemed more vibrant than the last, filled with beautiful murals, local art, textiles, and the kind of charm that makes you want to wander for hours.
A day filled with movement, connection, culture, magic, and colorβso much color πππ¦

Afterward, we explored the colorful streets of Panajachel, soaking in the local culture and admiring all the beautiful beads (u know I love them) ππ
Back at @islaverdeatitlan, I guided a chakra workshop where we journeyed through each energy center, reflected on powerful journaling prompts, and connected more deeply with ourselves through a guided meditation π¦β¨ I got flowers for each color of the chakras from all around the property π

Got to visit family in Florida β some I hadnβt seen in years π₯Ή did yoga with @radioactiverye and hung out with my parents dogs, met @mystic.visionz for the first time at the airport (my now wifey ππ), then @vickieeknows arrived and we spent the day roadtripping & exploring San Marcos, shopping a lil, eating sooo good, waking up for sunrise, and slowly dropping into retreat mode πΏ
Then headed to Isla Verde to prepare for the retreat, we sat chatting for hours while watching hummingbirds fly around us ποΈβ¨

Next up: Acatenango. π
This hike is not for the faint of heart, but if youβre up for the challenge, itβs one heck of an adventure. πβ¨

Next up: @hobbitenango ποΈβ¨π§ββοΈ
Forever a Hobbitenango fan girl πππ§πΌββοΈ

Goodbye @islaverdeatitlan , Hello Antigua π¬πΉβ¨
Then came our last morning at Isla Verde π₯ΉπΏ
One final yoga practice overlooking the lake, one final delicious brekkie, and a few more moments soaking in the magic of this place that had become home for the week π§ββοΈ
This was also the day we said goodbye to part of our group, like my awesome roomies π₯² While some of us continued on to Antigua, others headed off on their own adventures. It was bittersweet after sharing such a special week together. Love them all so much and already missing their presence π₯Ήπ«Ά
Then it was time to hit the road and begin our next adventure: Antigua! β¨ we arrived at our epic new home and hit the markets where I got way too much beautiful stuff π
π«£
From colorful textiles and handcrafted treasures to wandering new streets with good company, it was the perfect transition from retreat mode into adventure mode π
And just like that, our Antigua chapter began π©΅
Thank you @rosiemoetuesday for the captures πΈ

Our last full day in @islaverdeatitlan was such a beautiful closing chapter to everything we had created together π
We started the morning with yoga, then we headed out to the lake for paddleboarding and I finally got to swim!! π¦π₯Ήπ§πΌββοΈ It felt so good to be fully in the water, present, and just enjoying the moment.
Afterward came a delicious stuffed avocado lunch (so good it deserves its own mention π
π₯), and then we made our way to San Marcos to explore the cute little shops and soak in the town one more time πΏποΈ
Full hearts, full bodies, full gratitude π₯°

Water Day π§β¨ | Part 2
Next up was what might have been one of my favorite adventures of the entire trip (which is saying a lot because every day was incredible so itβs hard to chooseπ
)
This one will stay in my heart for a very long time. π

Water Day π§β¨ | Part 1
We can flow, adapt, and trust the current. ππ

Our next day in Guatemala with @the.mystic.flow began with a nourishing morning yoga practice by @mari.in.the.flow , creating space to connect with ourselves before another day of exploration and adventure π§π»π«
I also had the opportunity to offer a few massages, bringing in a little extra relaxation and self-care before we headed out for the day πΏππ½ββοΈβ¨ I was able to bring Puerto Rican herbal essences by @petraaroma π
Before leaving, we participated in the cutest little wishing paper ceremonyβa simple yet magical ritual I had never experienced before. Thanks to @mystic.healing.arts ππ½
We wrote down our wishes, watched them transform before our eyes, and shared a moment of wonder together β¨π« It felt like a tiny reminder that magic lives in the small moments.

If life has started to feel like one long to-do list, this is your sign! π«
Book the retreat. Take the trip. Do the yoga. Meet the amazing humans. Take a deep exhale.
A few days away from the constant doing to just be, move your body, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself.
Youβre not meant to spend your life checking boxes, youβre meant for more than that and to actually live your life! ππ»
We also include adventures, exploration, and time to experience the place weβre inβ¦ and everything is taken care of in advance so you can simply arrive, receive, and enjoy. ππ»β¨ππΊπ»

Air Element Day in Guatemala with @the.mystic.flow π¬οΈβ¨
We welcomed the Air Day of the retreat with a morning yoga practice, creating space to breathe, ground, and connect before an unforgettable adventure ahead π§π»π©΅
Then came one of the highlights of the week: paragliding! πͺβ¨ My first official flight, and WOW... it was absolutely epic. Floating above Lake AtitlΓ‘n, feeling the wind carry us through the sky, was equal parts exhilarating, freeing, and awe-inspiring π€©π we were up with the vultures!
We gathered for a nourishing dinner before ending the evening with a beautiful collective sound healing experience πΆπ« The perfect way to integrate the dayβs adventures!

People say βitβs just a massageββ¦ but itβs really not.
Yes, Iβm working your muscles. But Iβm also helping your nervous system slow down, your stress drop, your circulation move, your lymph drain, your whole system reset while sending healing energy that some know as reiki πΈπ«
Because the truth is - if your energy is off, if youβre stressed, tense, constantly in your headβ¦ your body is going to keep holding that in the muscles. And no amount of stretching or quick fixes fully releases that.
This is why my massages go deeper than just the physical.
You donβt just leave βrelaxed.β
You leave like something in you finally let go.
Lighter. Clearer. A little bit floating.
Just ask someone who has received one π
This amazing location is @lacamuyanapr, book your stay ποΈ

This hike is not for the faint of heart, but if youβre up for the challenge, itβs one heck of an adventure. πβ¨]()

Good hiking shoes, layers, snacks, hiking sticks, water, and a healthy respect for the mountain are non-negotiable. This hike is not for the faint of heart, but if youβre up for the challenge, itβs one heck of an adventure. πβ¨]()
![Next up: Acatenango. π
And perhaps equally memorable as the volcano eruptions: somehow ending up in a Florida Highway Patrol sweater courtesy of @wichoandcharlies while smoking a doobie on the side of a Guatemalan volcano π As a Florida girl, that felt iconic asf. ππ»ββοΈ

Next up: Acatenango. π
This hike is not for the faint of heart, but if youβre up for the challenge, itβs one heck of an adventure. πβ¨

Next up: @hobbitenango ποΈβ¨π§ββοΈ
Forever a Hobbitenango fan girl πππ§πΌββοΈ
